The Presidential Train – 2 Days Pack

In this experience, we invite you to enjoy 2 wonderful days through Douro, in the Portuguese Presidential Train. 

Climbing the steps of the Presidential Train is like entering a time machine, where you can sense the aroma and hear purposeful music. The trip begins and ends at the magnificent São Bento station, in the centre of Porto. Each guest will have their travel place in 6, 3 or 2 seater cabins. Lunch will be served along the Porto - Vesúvio trip, in one of the 3 restaurant carriages - with 32, 20 or 16 seats.

At the end of lunch, and during a relaxing two-hour stop, our guests will have exclusive access to one of the oldest private wine estates in the Douro, and a taste of the best Graham's Ports (some so rare they have never been marketed), a cigar lounge on the porch and, during the grape harvest, the chance to participate in the step of the grape. The Quinta do Vesúvio, owned by the Symington family, whose company is recognized as the world leader in the production of Premium Port wines with brands such as Graham's, Cockburn's, Dow's and Warre's, is the most magnificent estate in the Douro and the few that are not open to the public.

After lunch and the visit to Quinta do Vesúvio, the trip continues to Casa do Rio, where you will eat dinner and spend the night. 

After enjoying the magnificent swimming pool, you will go to Chef Rui Paula's DOC Restaurant. After lunch, you will have the exclusive opportunity to visit, in private, the Quintas de São Bernardo, Pacheca and Bomfim with wine tasting.

On the way back to Porto, passengers can freely enjoy the train and its many surprises, including the tearoom, bar with live music and other experiences that we have prepared for our guests.
