In this wine and food tour, we invite you to discover the Lisbon Wine Region. A 1-day self-guided tour in which you will find out all about the Portuguese gastronomic tradition, visiting some modern wine houses, tasting some of the best wines of the region and delighting yourself with Portuguese flavours.
The wine culture counts many years in Lisboa’s Region. It has more designations than any other region in Portugal. Highlights to the Brucelas’ wine culture, Carcavelos wine, and the Colares’ vineyard.
The tour begins at Manzwine, a project focused on the historical and wine recovery of Cheleiros (Mafra), as well as the almost extinct jampal variety. Jampal is a Portuguese grape used to produce “Dona Fátima”, the only wine in the world which is 100% jampal. Following the guided visit to all Manzwine facilities – museum, old village and Winehouse -, there will be a commented Premium wine tasting, paired with Cheleiros bread and Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
The tour will continue at Quinta do Gradil, one of the most ancient rural properties from Cadaval, Lisboa. It has a strong wine tradition with centuries of history. During the guided visit you will get to know the history and see the vineyard. After that, you will be enjoying a 3-moment lunch, paired with 3 Quinta do Gradil wines.
We invite you to visit AdegaMãe. See the white and red wines presses, the storing and fermentation wine vat and the lab. The visit ends with a wine tasting of all the wines available. The wine tasting will have a wonderful view as background.
