In this wine & food tour, we invite you to discover the Alentejo Wine Region. A 1-day self-guided tour, in which you will visit some modern wineries, and taste some of the best wines and food of the region.
The activities will start in one of the most prestigious brands in Portugal, Adega da Cartuxa - Quinta de Valbom. You will discover the history and unique surroundings of Quinta de Valbom through a guided tour of the building where the Cartuxa Winery was founded. The activity will culminate with the tasting 3 wines selected by the Eugénio de Almeida Foundation, followed by typical Alentejo snacks, such as cured meats, cheeses, and jams from the region.
At lunchtime, you will visit João Portugal Ramos, located in Estremoz, Évora, in the heart of Alentejo. Its winery, in Vila Santa, joins the modern in all the winemaking technology implemented in the wine production processes, with the best Portuguese wine tradition. You will visit the winery and cellars, where you will have the opportunity to know the whole history of this producer, its properties and its wines. After the visit, you will enjoy a traditional Alentejo lunch, accompanied by João Portugal Ramos wines.
The last visit will be at Herdade do Esporão. You will unlock the secrets of wine production on a visit to the cellars, and test your senses with 2 white wines and 2 red wines.
