Local winery
A visit to this winery is much more than a visit to a winery, it's a journey through time and history. Here you will enjoy a specialized guided tour of the private horse carriage museum, the vineyards, the winery and a cellar wine tasting of 5 wines.
Arraiolos
Set in the beautiful Alentejo countryside, our first stop is the historical village of Arraiolos. Known for its Portuguese craftsmanship, here you will see many handmade tapestry rugs and ceramics. Learn about the art of rug making and catch a glimpse of local craftswomen working by hand.
Lunch at local, Portuguese tasca
A ´tasca´ is a small Portuguese eatery, normally run by a local family. Here you will find typical regional dishes, and it's way cheaper than eating in the city. You can eat big and drink even bigger in most tasca´s for less than €15.
Local family-owned organic olive grove
Next you will head to a local, organic olive grove originally planted by the owner's grandfather. The olive used is of the Galega variety native from Portugal from olive trees aged between 70 and 2000 years old. Enjoy a guided tour and olive oil tasting. Perfect for those who appreciate tranquility and nature.
Local family-owned cork factory
To end the day you will visit a large, working cork factory. Here you will enjoy a specialized guided tour. You will learn much about cork, including how the cork is harvested from the tree trunk and expertly crafted into many items. There is also a great shop with a large variety of cork items should you wish to take home a memento.
