About the Activity
Ramos Pinto was founded in 1880 and for several decades its history has been marked by innovation and respect for tradition. Producing and selecting the best grapes together with systematic knowledge of the terroir, Ramos Pinto is a pioneer in launching new Douro wines in Portugal and around the world.

We invite you to visit the Adriano Ramos Pinto Museum and the Ramos Pinto Cellars. The beginning of the itinerary, in the Museum, is dedicated to the history of the company, its wines, and it's pioneering spirit, particularly at the level of Port Wine Marketing. A highlight for the vast collection of advertising posters and artefacts dating from the late 19th century and early 20th century, available in the Museum.

In a second moment, the visit to the traditional Port Wine Cellars focuses on the winemaking methods of the Ramos Pinto wines, in a cellar environment, in which about 280,000 litres of Port Wine are stored.

At the end of the visit, you will enjoy a tasting of 3 Ramos Pinto Port wines.

Welcome to the Ramos Pinto Wine World!

Highlights:
  • Visit to the Casa Adriano Ramos Pinto Museum;
  • Guided visit to the Port Wine Cellars;

    “Interesting museum and cave” The visit starts at the Museum, where the guide tells us several details about the beginning of the house, the marketing techniques and even shows us the office in an excellent state of conservation. Next we go down to see the cellar itself, where the details of the cultivation and ageing of the three types of Port wine of the house are explained: white, Ruby and Tawny. At the end, they offered the intermediate wine tasting, which was excellent! Paul, 22 ago 2021

    “Bien, mejorable, pero es que todas son así” Esta bien. Pero si uno tiene de referencia las visitas a bodegas, de por ejemplo Rioja o ribera de duero esta es cara y le falta algo más de medios audiovisuales, o demostraciones reales.

    Por ejemplo, el mapa del duero es pequeño y no se ve

    Hay poca luz en la bodega.

    Etc...
    Los vinos de la cata excepcionales , pero tienes que enrollarte con su gente para que den buenas explicaciones.

    En resumen, mejorable, pero el resto de bodegas de la zona son iguales o más flojas aún.
