About the Activity
Quinta do Portal, located in Sabrosa, Vila Real, is a Portuguese and familiar house which adopt the “Boutique Winery” concept, with several wines' production such as: DOC Douro, Port Wines and Muscat wine.

This project, started in the early 90s of the 20th century, was based on a centennial property of the family where Port Wine was produced, but there was a great emphasis on the creation of international Douro wines.

In this experience, we invite you to visit Quinta do Portal, our cellars, the building designed by the Portuguese architect Álvaro Siza Vieira, which has 3 areas to visit: the Port and Douro wine ageing warehouses; the Quinta do Portal wine boutique store; and the auditorium.

At the end of the visit, you will enjoy a wine tasting at Quinta do Portal, which includes a commented tasting of 3 wines (1 Douro Red, 1 Moscatel wine and 1 Port Wine).

After the tasting, it will be time for a unique gastronomic experience, full of flavours. The "Farm to Table" menu will consist of greetings from the chef, starter, meat dish, fish dish and dessert.

Come and discover the relaxed and inviting atmosphere of the Quinta do Portal restaurant, where traditional dishes are perfectly paired with the estate's wines.

Discover the best of the Douro!

Highlights:
  • Guided visit to Quinta do Portal;
  • Commented tasting of 3 wines (1 Douro Red Wine, 1 Moscatel and 1 Port Wine);
