From the heights of this privileged scenic overlook, we can say, as the Portuguese author Miguel Torga once did: “It’s not the panorama that our eyes contemplate: it is an excess of nature”.
The estate Quinta das Escomoeiras is hidden in the terraces of an enchanted land, a small paradise set on the banks of the Tâmega River, offering uninterrupted views of forest-covered mountains to contemplate exquisite details of the pastoral rusticity of the Minho region.
Here you can taste what the earth has to offer, from vine to grape, as you experience the processes of winemaking and drink the nectar of the land surrounding you. Our vines and fruit trees are free of herbicide treatments and, adhering to our standards of environmental commitment, we have incorporated methods of organic farming.
We invite you to visit Quinta da Escomoeiras and stay with us. The program includes three nights accommodation with breakfast included, for two people, in a suite "The Black Cat".
During your stay you will participate in a 2 kms tour around the estate, visiting the vineyards, the stables - Miranda's heifer (Julieta) and the Lusitanian horse (Sereia) - the organic vegetable garden, the river Tâmega, which borders the estate and the forest. After the tour there will be a guided tour of the winery and, finally, a tasting of the estate's wines.
Included in the program is also a light lunch, “self-service", for 2 people, consisting of Caldo Verde (soup), quiches and salads made with products from the farm, Portuguese canned food, regional corn bread, fruit salad from the estate, wines and herbal infusions.
Quinta das Escomoeiras is the secret place you will love to discover.
