In this 8-hour Porto city tour, you will visit the main attractions of the historic centre, UNESCO World Heritage - Avenida dos Aliados, Rua de Santa Catarina, Café Majestic, D. Luiz I Bridge and Torre dos Clérigos (Clérigos Tower)! Furthermore, you will visit a wine cellar of Port Wine with tasting of three wines. You will have a typical lunch in a traditional restaurant and, soon after, a cruise of the six bridges in the Douro River, in a typical Rabelo boat. In the afternoon discover the modern part of the city, such as the Casa da Música, Museum of Serralves, Foz do Douro River and the beaches of the city.
After the pick-up, be prepared to get to know the history and culture of Porto’s monuments and its historical centre, UNESCO World Heritage.
Begin with a historical monument, Porto’s Cathedral: birthplace of the city, presents a brilliant architecture from the Romanesque era.
Discover Porto's highest tower, the fantastic Clérigos Tower, an emblematic landmark of the city in baroque style.
Near the Clérigos Tower, you will find the famous Lello bookshop, one of the most beautiful and oldest bookshops in the world, known for having inspired the writer J.K. Rowling to write the Harry Potter collection of books.
Next, learn all about the dramatic tiles panels, which reveals some of the most important scenes of Portugal’s history in the stunning São Bento railway station.
Late in the morning, visit a prestigious port wine cellar, in Vila Nova de Gaia, and discover the best secrets of wine making. Of course, the best part of this guided tour will be the Port Wine tasting experience. Then it's time to enjoy a traditional lunch in one of the most popular places in town: discover the amazing views of Ribeira's pier.
After lunch, embark on a 50-minute cruise, with an excellent panoramic landscape, that runs through all the bridges that connect Porto to Gaia. After the cruise on the Douro river, we will visit another part of Porto city still unknown: Boavista and Foz do Douro. These are some of Porto's most modern areas, and you are about to explore them in a panoramic way. Enjoy a tour in Boavista, passing by Casa da Música, an icon of new architecture and, at the same time, the city's main concert hall. Pass the Serralves Foundation, a stunning 18 hectare green area!
Discover Foz do Douro, one of Porto's most exclusive areas, with beautiful houses overlooking the sea. You can already see the beach and the famous Cheese Castle, built in the past to fight the invading pirates.
Take some time to appreciate the views and walk along the beach.
