About the Activity
On this luxury wine tour, designed by Portugal by Wine, we invite you to discover Lisbon, Tejo & Peninsula de Setúbal wine regions.

The 5-day program, includes a visit to prestigious Lisbon, Tejo and Peninsula de Setúbal wineries, where you will taste the best wines, gastronomy and experience unforgettable wine tourism experiences.

The tour starts with the pick-up at Humberto Delgado Airport, in hotels, or in the city centre of Lisbon. You will be accompanied by a specialized wine tourism chauffeur and the entire trip will be on a premium vehicle.

The first activity will be at Quinta do Porto Nogueira, a property dating from the first half of the 18th century, which has always remained in the possession of the same family. Since 2004 it is a Casa Romana Vini Estate. The vineyard has been the main crop of Quinta do Porto Nogueira since 1738, where the vines extended through the valleys and plains there. You will take part in a guided tour of the facilities and winery, which will allow you to get to know all the stages of transformation, from the vineyard to the bottle. At the end, in the tasting room, with the watching of a short film, a wine and gastronomic experience will follow, involving a lunch with wine pairing.

After lunch, it will be time to visit Quinta do Sanguinhal, founded in 1926 by Abel Pereira da Fonseca. It is dedicated to the exploration of 3 estates in the Demarcated Region of Óbidos. You will get to know the winery on a guided tour, as well as the gardens and vineyards. You will visit the old fully recovered distillery, the old press with rod and spindle presses, dating from 1871 and the ageing cellar with 36 barrels. The visit will end with a commented wine tasting, accompanied by regional snacks.

For accommodation, the program offers you two options. A 5-star hotel or a wine estate. Dinner will be served at the unit you choose.

You can stay at the Dolce Campo Real 5-star hotel, located in the middle of the Protected Landscape of Serra do Socorro and Archeira, in Torres Vedras, where you can enjoy the most attractive views of a peaceful paradise. After the first day of the tour, put on your robe and slippers and relax in one of the modern rooms. Guests can work out in the 24-hour gym, relax at the Spa Water Circuit or in one of the pools. For dinner, you will enjoy  exclusive dishes created by Chef. With seasonal menus and a refined atmosphere, Dolce Campo Real is the place to taste Portuguese cuisine.

Alternatively, you can stay at the Wine Hotel da Quinta da Lapa, located in the municipality of Azambuja, where you can experience a real rural getaway, always accompanied by the best wines. The estate has more than 300 years of tradition of producing high quality wines. In addition to wine tasting and regional snacks, you can also take a guided tour of the vineyard and winery and enjoy a wine dinner for two.

Day 2
After a buffet breakfast at the hotel with the best regional products, our guide will pick you up and drive you on the 2nd day of this tour.

The morning will be spent at Quinta da Chocapalha, where agriculture is seen as an activity of great nobility and that values all who embrace this project. The visit will begin with a short walk through the vineyards, where the story of the Tavares da Silva family will be told and where the viticulture process will be explained. You will pass through the cellar and the barrel room, where the winemaking process will be explained. Finally, a wine tasting, accompanied by regional products, and a typical lunch. It will be a great opportunity to taste the local food and wines.

After lunch, it will be time to visit Quinta da Almiara. Located in Ventosa, Torres Vedras, in the heart of the Lisbon Wine Region, it was born from an old passion that has always existed within the family: wine. With a modern and innovative architectural project, Quinta da Almiara is strongly committed to the wine sector and wine tourism. You will get to know the heart of the Almiara Estate. You will discover the Time Room, where the aromas mingle with the smell of the French oak barrels. Furthermore, you will visit the storage and fermentation vats, take a peek into the laboratory, visit the event's room with its privileged view of the vineyard and end the guided tour with a wine tasting session.

At the end of the afternoon, you will visit Adegamãe, located in Ventosa, Torres Vedras. It was born from an old passion that has always existed within the Riberalves Group: wine. With a modern and innovative architectural project, Adegamãe has a strong investment in the wine sector and in wine tourism. In terms of production, Adegamãe is distinguished by its commitment to genuine wines that express the unique characteristics of the Lisbon region, which is very much marked by the Atlantic influence. You will take part in a guided tour of the property, passing through the "Sala do Tempo", where the aromas mingle with the smell of the French oak barrels. At the end of the tour, you will taste some Adegamãe wines, accompanied by traditional Portuguese snacks, in a light dinner.

After dinner, it will be time to return to the hotel.

Day 3
After a buffet breakfast at the hotel with the best regional products, our guide will pick you up and drive you on the 3rd day of this tour.

The activities will start at Quinta de Sant'Ana, located on the west coast of the Extremadura region. Quinta de Sant'Ana brings together the production of high quality wines, with a cuisine inspired by the best flavours of the region. Guided by the estate owner and/or resident winemaker, you will visit the 12 hectares of vineyards, on a splendid 3 km tour of the property, with various stops, such as the winery, barrels and the private 17th century chapel. At the end, you will enjoy a 4-course menu, paired with a selection of wines, including some old vintages and special releases.

In the afternoon, you will visit Manzwine, a project based on the historical and wine recovery of the village of Cheleiros, as well as the recovery of the Jampal grape variety, a Portuguese grape, almost extinct, from which they make the only wine in the world 100% Jampal. You will be welcomed at the old winepress/ wine shop, starting the visit with a historical setting. The following is the visit to the museum, where there is an explanation about the terroir and its influence on the characteristics of the wine. The visit will continue in the cellar and the old school/barrels room. It will end with the guided and commented wine tasting, accompanied by Mafra Bread and 2 extra virgin olive oils.

After, our chauffeur will drive you to the Setúbal Peninsula Wine Region, to your hotel, where you will spend the night. You will have two accommodation options, one 5-star and another 4-star. The choice will be yours!

The Casa Palmela hotel, located in the heart of the Arrábida Natural Park. It is a house with a history dating back to the 17th century. When choosing this accommodation, you will stay overnight in one of the rooms of the Main House, where you breathe the charm and romanticism of a five-star hotel, surrounded by the stunning nature of the Serra da Arrábida and the histories of a manor house with a unique past. The large rooms come with a bathroom with shower, double bed and garden views. Don't miss the opportunity to enjoy a treatment at the Spa.

Or, alternatively, the Montado Hotel & Golf Resort. Just 30 minutes south of Lisbon, this modern resort includes an impressive 18-hole golf course. The activities will begin at Bacalhôa - Vinhos de Portugal, one of the largest and most innovative wine companies in Portugal. Bacalhôa has developed over the years a wide range of wines that has earned it a solid reputation and national and international preference. On a guided tour of the Palácio da Bacalhôa, you will have the opportunity to learn about the history of this house and contemplate the architecture of the Palace, its decoration and gardens, influenced over the centuries by the different owners, inspired by their travels through Europe, Africa and the Orient, or simply as a patron surrounded by artists, helping to transform it into a unique jewel. At the end of the visit, you will participate in a Bacalhôa wine tasting.

The restaurant for lunch will be at your choice! Our chauffeur will give you some options and take you to the place you choose. We highlight the restaurant "De Pedra e Sal" in Setúbal, integrated in a historical building of the city, with more than 150 years. It is known for its famous steak in salt stone, in which the meat goes to the coal oven, and then arrives at the table on the stone that gives it a touch more salty that is controlled by the client.

After lunch, our guide will take you to know the Arrábida National Park. Located by the sea, between Setúbal and the fishing village of Sesimbra, The Arrábida Park has an incomparable beauty, in which the blue of the sea alternates with the whitish tones of the limestone cliffs and with the green of the dense vegetable mantle that covers the mountain.

The last visit of the day will be in Venâncio da Costa Lima, one of the oldest wineries in the Palmela region, starting the activity in 1914. We invite you to visit the winery, where you will know the history and principles of the elaboration of a white, red wine and the "Moscatel de Setúbal" wine. At the end of the visit, you will enjoy a wine tasting at the "Adega Velha", where the "Moscatel de Setúbal" ages.

For dinner, at your choice, we suggest the restaurant "Decor e Salteado", in Setúbal, an exquisite restaurant, dedicated to Portuguese meat and snacks, with the River Sado as the background. At the end of dinner, it will be time to return to the hotel.
