About the Activity
On this food tour, you will start at the end of the Tram 28 line on foot. There is a whole world to discover in this part of Lisbon: Campo de Ourique - a genuine neighbourhood full of restaurants, coffee shops and others! Awaken your senses to the history and your taste buds to the flavours of this Lisbon neighbourhood, which sets the trends and the food lifestyles of the city.

Campo de Ourique is a 19th century neighbourhood full of restaurants and pastry shops, where many famous personalities, like Fernando Pessoa, lived. This is a neighbourhood with a pioneering and entrepreneurial spirit, having new concepts of restaurants and other gastronomy related businesses.

The tour starts in the morning, so you can enjoy the stalls selling fresh fish, fruit and vegetables in the market. Six stops are included, for our food adventurers to enjoy delicious and creative tastings of traditional and modern Portuguese gastronomy, typical of the lifestyle of this original residential and family neighbourhood, where the famous Tram 28 ends its route, and it is still unknown to the tourist routes.

Highlights:
  • Cultural and food tour through Campo de Ourique, Lisbon, during around 3h30;
  • Walking tour of 1.6 km, through the typical streets of this neighbourhood;
  • 6 tastings (wine and regional delicacies at different places).

    “Memorable!” The best way to experience history, culture and gastronomy all in a few hours. We tasted some of the best food; our guide, Madalena, was very knowledgable, friendly and caring; the tour was paced perfectly; the different restaurants and markets visited made a wonderful start to the trip.
