About the Activity
José Maria da Fonseca, located in Vila Nogueira de Azeitão, Setúbal, invites you to come and discover the essence of a wine family with almost 200 years of history.

The visit to the Museum Room begins with a brief explanation of the company’s history, followed by a tour of the ancient wineries: Adega da Mata and Adega dos Teares Novos, where wines such as Periquita mature, and Adega dos Teares Velhos, where the oldest Setúbal Muscatels (Muscatels or Moscateis).

At the end of the visit, you will taste 3 Setúbal muscatels (Moscatel Roxo, Moscatel with Armagnac and Moscatel with Cognac). The tasting will be accompanied by a typical sweet known as "Torta de Azeitão", an icon of Portuguese traditional sweets, dating back to the late 19th century.
