About the Activity
Located in Estremoz, Évora, in the Alentejo heart, João Portugal Ramos is a Portuguese wine reference. His wine cellar, in Vila Santa, with a traditional Alentejo elements in its architecture, combines the modern concept in all vinification technology in all wine production process. Currently, João Portugal e Ramos, has wine activity in several regions such as Alentejo, Ribatejo, Beiras, Douro and Vinhos Verdes. 

We invite you to discover the secrets of Alentejo cuisine with a workshop, which will allow you to learn more about customs and gastronomic techniques of this region. After the cooking class, you can enjoy a traditional lunch, accompanied by our wines Vila Santa Reserve white and red and Duorum Porto, which includes one welcome appetizer, one entrée, one main course, one dessert and a selection of cheese.

Appetizer:
  • Welcome appetizer regional toasted bread in Oliveira Ramos Premium olive oil, sprinkled with salt and oregano.
 
Starter:
  • Dogfish with coriander and regional crunchy fried bread;
  • Pumpkin soup, watercress and roasted almonds;
  • Aheira (Portuguese sausage) with chopped cabbage and quail egg .

Main dish:
  • Codfish "chef style" with broccoli "migas";
  • "Vila santa" duck rice with courgette carpaccio;
  • "Vila santa" partridge.

Dessert:
  • Water pudding;
  • Pudding “encharcada” (typical Alentejo dessert made with eggs, sugar and cinnamon);
  • Fruits of the season;
  •  Selection of cheese.

Wines:
  • Vila Santa Reserve white and red;
  • Duorum Oporto.
Cancellation policy
Free cancellation up to 48 hours prior to the experience date.
For cancellations up to 24 hours, 50% of the total reservation amount will be charged;
No show or cancellations less than 24h, there will be no refund.
