The production of the Honrado wine is the result of a familiar project between father and son, with a range of abilities very different from each other, which complement one another.
The father, who once wished to take his wine beyond the borders of Alentejo, allied himself with his son, and thus the wine "Talha" was born - a product that despite having a rejuvenated and differentiated image, has as its fundamental principle the respect for the history, culture, and tradition of Alentejo.
The wine it’s produced in a traditional way through the millenarian technique of fermenting the grape in clay pots. This technique comes from the Roman times and has remained unchanged throughout more than 2000 years of history, passing from grandfathers to parents and from them to their children, through the popular wisdom.
It is in the region of Vila de Frades, a small town in the heart of Alentejo with less than 900 inhabitants, that this tradition has been kept alive, and which is recognized today as "the Capital of Vinho de Talha".
In this experience, we invite you to visit the Adega-Museu Cella Vinaria Antiqua and participate in a tasting of 2 DOC Alentejo wines, "Vinho de Talha", Honrado Vineyards' entry level range. An ideal activity for those who want to have a first contact with Amphora wines.
After the tasting, you will enjoy a meal of typical dishes from Alentejo. Choose between 3 traditional dishes from the menu of the País das Uvas restaurant and enjoy a typical meal from Alentejo. The meal will be accompanied by a performance by an authentic "Cante Alentejano" group (traditional singers from Alentejo).
