Herdade do Cebolal is located on the Alentejo coast, in the village of Vale das Éguas, in the municipality of Santiago do Cacém, 10 km from the sea, in a valley between the Serra de Santiago and the Serra do Cercal. The 23-hectare vineyard faces south, where the sea winds confer freshness and high acidity to the wines.
Since 1890, our family project has passed from generation to generation. Knowledge, passed down through generations, strengthened by values, ethics, responsibility and respect for man and nature create our heritage, which identifies us as a family.
We are artisans of wine, respecting the authenticity of our terroir which translates into wines with personality, respect for the environment and low chemical intervention.
We invite you to visit the Herdade do Cebolal and enjoy a guided tour of the property that includes the explanation of our winemaking process, a visit to the cellar with wine tasting directly from the vats and, at the end, a tasting of two Cebolal wines, accompanied by regional snacks.
After the guided tour, you will savor a regional lunch, composed of typical and seasonal products, which will make you experience the main gastronomic customs of the Alentejo. The thematic lunch will be related to the time of year and will cover topics such as "Cocaria" (traditional dishes made in clay pots), the "Magusto", Hunting and Salt Fishes, depending on the time of year it is held. It will bepaired with Herdade do Cebolal wines.
