Fitapreta wine tourism is located just a few kilometers away from the magnificent city of Évora, a UNESCO heritage site, set between the contemporary architecture of the winery, a building entirely covered with cork, and the medieval palace of Morgado de Oliveira (14th century).
The experiences at Fitapreta are characterized by the wines that combine ancestry and innovation, and the cheerfulness of an enthusiastic team. The vineyards, the medieval Paço, and our contemporary winery are an invitation to celebrate life with a glass in your hand!
Our philosophy is that the visit is enhanced by several moments, both the discovery of the company, the History of the Paço, and naturally the explanation of the winemaking processes.
In this activity, we invite you to participate in a unique moment of wine production, the grape harvest.
You will need to get up early, but the Fitapreta team will pick you up wherever you are to ensure that you arrive at the vineyard still at night. Harvesting without the sun is what guarantees the maximum freshness of the grapes.
By miner's light, accompanied by the harvest team, we will pick the bunches of grapes that will follow at sunrise to the winery.
After breakfast in the vineyard, the rest of the winemaking work follows. Whether it is the sorting of the grapes on the selection table, the remontage, or the laboratory analyses, there are many tasks that allow us to know in depth this magical process of making wine.
After tasting the fermenting musts and some previous harvests, it will be time for the well-earned rest of the warriors, in a lunch with all the Fitapreta team in the palace courtyard.
Take part in the Fitapreta harvests, with relaxation, and in the true Maçanita style!
