In this 10-hour tour, starting on Porto, we invite you to join us in harvest activity in the Douro and taste the best wines produced here.
Our day begins in Porto, the unconquered city. We start the Tour and point to the East, where the Douro awaits us.
As we approach the winery where we will spend the day, we begin to see the beautiful vineyards that surround it. At the winery, we start by visiting the gardens and tasting one of its wines accompanied by appetizers.
Already with a little wine in our system to cheer us up, we go to the vineyards to begin the harvest. Here you need to deserve your lunch, so only full baskets are accepted! The Douro Valley is famous for still making some of its wine by pressing with the feet, so now it's time for you to contribute to the tradition: everyone to the wine press!
All of this activity probably made you thirsty, so we enter the Muscat Sanctuary to discover this delicious nectar that they have been making for over 100 years. Because you did your job right, you will be rewarded with a delicious Douro Regional lunch paired with the Winery's White and Red Wine.
We say goodbye to our hosts and drive down the road to visit two of the most beautiful viewpoints in the region. Arriving at the river, we board a traditional Rabelo boat that will take us on an hour-long tour where we can enjoy the views. On the way back to Porto, we will drive alongside the Douro River on one of the most beautiful roads in the Valley.
