About the Activity
Caves Cálem, located in Vila Nova de Gaia, is a world reference with about 310,000 annual visitors coming from all over the world.

In a balance between the tradition associated with Port wine and new technologies, we challenge you to discover more about the Douro region and Port wine - from the soil to the grapes, from the categories to the aromas, through our interactive museum, with personalized and intuitive access.

In this guided tour through the cellars and the interactive museum, you will get to know the Douro Demarcated Region, the whole process of Port wine production and all the details of the history of Cálem. The wineries remain active and accessible, it will be there that you will learn more about the unique characteristics of each type of Port wine, right next to the barrels where it ages.

At the end of the visit, you will enjoy a tasting of 2 Port wines, and will watch a live Fado show, lasting approximately 45 minutes.
