About the Activity
The Azores Wine Company project was founded by partners António Maçanita, Filipe Rocha and Insula Vinus, Lda. The story of three people profoundly connected to the Azores who crossed paths by the end of the first decade of the 21st century, brought together by a passion to which they dedicate a significant part of their lives: wine and gastronomy. It is also a tribute to history and to the heroes who shaped the impressive Pico Island Vineyard Landscape, building thousands of endless corrals where the "impossible" was done, and which today is one of the 14 wine regions classified by UNESCO as World Heritage.  

The Wine Tourism in Azores Wine Company is an experience that gives you a taste of the "land" and the "sea" of the Azores, so that you feel the pleasure of the simple things in life. In Pico Island you will enjoy unique experiences with an unforgettable environment. We want you to discover our culture and identity and to always feel at home. 

Come walk with us around the great volcano that is Pico Mountain! Between São Mateus and Bandeiras, passing through the incredible old vineyards of Criação Velha!
