The Adega Cooperativa de Vidigueira, Cuba e Alvito, founded in 1960, but with a history that refers to the origins of the Portuguese nation, is an exponent of affirmation of the region of the Alentejo, so creased by the wine culture.
The roots of Adega da Vidigueira are intertwined with the history of the village itself and with Vasco da Gama, to whom D. Jaime, duke of Bragança ceded the village in 1519. In his honour, both wines and our experiences, count story divided into acts, which promise to make known the best of what we do.
We invite you to visit our century-old vineyards where you will share in some activities in the vineyard, our winery, where you will learn about the entire winemaking process. You will visit Casa das Talhas, where you will know the roots of Talha wine and discover the secrets of this artisanal winemaking technique, brought by the Romans to Alentejo.
After the guided tour, you will enjoy a regional lunch or dinner with Vidigueira wines and also a wine tasting commented by our winemaker.
