Encostas de Estremoz
It is in Quinta da Esperança, in Estremoz, Alentejo region, that our wines are crafted.
Our first vines were planted in 1993 and, at this moment, we have a total area of 50 hectares. We have an extensive and varied grape varieties of our wines, including typical Douro and Alentejo grape varieties such as: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca, Alicante Bouschet and Aragonês, Trincadeira and international Cabernet Sauvignon.
In 2001, Quinta da Esperança took a new step with the built of the winery, initiating a process of winemaking with the own brand.
Then the first Encostas de Estremoz wines appear in 2001: D. Joana, Encostas de Estremoz White and Red. In 2002, comes up Terras de Estremoz Red and later in 2003 starts to produce more wines with single variety. Finally, in 2006, is launched the first Premium wine: Encostas de Estremoz Reserve 2003.
Throughout these years, our wine range has been widening with the appearance of different brands and segments, as well as received several prizes in national and international competitions.
Following our strategy, we inaugurated wine tourism in 2008 with capacity to receive up to 70 people, where we organize wine tastings, visits to the winery and numerous events.
